Rick Fletcher – Chief Executive Officer and President

As Chief Executive Officer and Director of Fletcher Petroleum Corp. and Co-Managing Member of Fletcher Exploration LLC, Mr. Fletcher brings over 30 years of oil and gas experience to his position. He gained many years of hands-on experience in the field by advancing through the various positions before moving into supervisory and later into increasingly senior management positions. Rick began his career in Canada with Poco Petroleum, Torrington Resources, Magin and NCE Petrofund, in various positions from operator, field foreman, production supervisor and Western Central Alberta Production Supervisor. In 2002, he formed, Fletcher Production Services which supplies consultants, production supervisors and operators for various oil and gas companies. In 2010, Rick then founded and funded Fletcher Petroleum, a private oil and gas company. Mr. Fletcher has been responsible for acquisitions, funding and overseeing all aspects of the business.

Mr. Fletcher attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology from 1986-1988 and received his fourth and third class Power Engineering Certificate.

Alex Owen - Vice President of Exploration

Mr. Owen began working with Fletcher Petroleum Corp. as an intern during the summer of 2016. After completing his Master's degree in Geological Sciences at the University of Alabama, Mr. Owen began as a full-time Geologist concentrating on the Permian Basin in west Texas as well as the Smackover Formation in southern Alabama. He focuses on using modern techniques to prove up new prospects as well as evaluating existing production and enhancing it for maximum recovery. Mr. Owen studied the Smackover Formation extensively for his Master's degree thesis and focused on modeling and creating a new exploration strategy for carbonate microbial buildups. He has experience with planning wells and has developed prospects in offshore Norway, offshore Finland, Gulf of Mexico, Texas, and Alabama. Mr. Owen worked for the State Oil and Gas Board of Alabama from 2015-2016 and is an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

Galen Long - Engineering Analyst

Mr. Long joined Fletcher Petroleum Corp. in 2016 as the Engineering Analyst. Galen holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. He brings over six years of experience, most of which has been related to operations, production and F&C engineering for oil and gas fields throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin of Alberta and Saskatchewan. 

Shawn R. Woitas - Production/Construction Manager

Mr. Woitas brings 18 years of oil and gas experience to his position. Shawn began his career with Fletcher Production Services in which his responsibilities included overseeing field/production operations, supervising large construction projects, daily budgets and reporting, drafting AFE's and purchasing all necessary equipment. Mr. Woitas has a 2 year Bachelor of Science at Red Deer College, 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate, completed Keyera Competency Program in Pipeline Operations and Construction, and Skytone Engineering Certificate in Z662 Pipeline Construction.

Daniel "Huck" Huckleberry - Manager of Land and Leasing

Daniel Huckleberry, "Huck" joined Fletcher Petroleum's land department in August 2013. Huck holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University graduating in 2001. Prior to joining Fletcher Petroleum Huck spent the last five years working in the Marcellus Shale in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. His expertise ranges from title work, leasehold acquisitions, drill site curative and other surface regulations. 

Don Noakes – Drilling Completions Advisor

Mr. Noakes is a professional engineer with close to 40 years experience in the oil & gas industry along with a strong focus on drilling and completions. Don has drilled wells throughout the Western Canadian Basin and as far south as Alabama and Mississippi. These have included deep foothills wells with H2S in excess of 34% to shallow Coal Bed Methane wells. Over the last ten years, the majority of his experience has been in multi-pad, multi-stage fracture design wells. He has drilled/completed in excess of 200 multi-stage horizontal wells.

Christen Burkett – Vice President of Administration

Ms. Burkett is the Vice President of Administration for Fletcher Petroleum. She oversees all aspects of the Fletcher’s administrative services, joint interest billings and book keeping. Ms. Burkett has been with the company since its inception in 2010.

Felipe Suarez - Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Felipe Suarez, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since March 2018, has over 30 years of combine experience in largely senior financial and leadership roles in energy and manufacturing industries and brings to Fletcher Petroleum a proven value creation track record. He was most recently the CFO and Finance Director of Radial Drilling Services, Inc. and prior to that, he was country Director of PetroVista Energy Corp. Colombia, a Calgary-based oil and gas public company focused on exploring and developing hydrocarbon assets in South America. Mr. Suarez earned a BBA from a Venezuelan university and from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.  

Michelle McCullough - Health & Safety Manager

Ms. McCullough is the Health & Safety Manager at Fletcher Petroleum.  Prior to Fletcher Petroleum Ms. McCullough was Employed at Fletcher Production Services located in Alberta, Canada. She transferred in the fall of 2015 and  brings over 10 years of oil & gas experience with her.

Jeremy Davidson - CPA / Controller

Mr. Davidson joined Fletcher Petroleum in November 2014. Mr. Davidson holds a bachelor of Accountancy degree from Auburn University graduating in May 2007.  Prior to joining Fletcher Petroleum Jeremy was the Manager of Tax Accounting for International Shipholding Corporation but began his professional career with Crow, Shields & Bailey, PC.

His professional memberships include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as Outside Activities Committee.

Morgn Pitts - Administrative Assistant

Morgan joined Fletcher Petroleum in July, 2018 as our Administrative Assistant. Morgan deals with all customer relations which includes fielding calls, receiving guests, along with the expanded role of processing incoming mail & working on and assisting with small and large projects.

West Branton - Field Supervisor

Mr. Branton is our field supervisor for Little Cedar Creek, Alabama. West overlooks all of our production and maintenance throughout our Little Cedar Creek well locations.

Marty Thering - Geologist - Consultant for Fletcher Petroleum

Mr. Thering brings over 28 years of development and production geology expertise to the Fletcher Team. Marty holds BS and MS degrees in Geology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and began his career with Exxon working super-mature Frio-Vicksburg fields in South Texas. Finding and extracting remaining reserves in fields with hundreds of existing wells refined Marty’s eye for detail and honed skills as production geologist. After 7 years with Exxon, Marty continued to work South Texas for Enron (later EOG Resources) in Corpus Christi as a member of a multi-functional team drilling Lobo and Middle Wilcox wells. During his tenure with EOG, Marty drilled over 200 wells with a 90%+ rate of economic success. In 2004, he left EOG to help Mr. John Newman found the Mohican Companies and has been there ever since.  Marty serves on the boards of the Corpus Christi Geological Library and the local SIPES Chapter and is also a member of AAPG. Marty served as a Military Policeman for the United States Army and Army Reserve and was a recipient of the Army Achievement Medal for duties performed in Grenada, West Indies.

John W. Newman - Petroleum Landman - Consultant for Fletcher Petroleum

 John brings 37 years of experience in the land, operations, trade negotiations, acquisitions and divestitures aspects of the oil & gas exploration business and started his professional career in 1981 as a staff petroleum landman with Texas Oil & Gas Company(later TXO Production Company) working in the Upper Gulf Coast and South Texas areas after completing the Petroleum Land Management Program (PLM) at the University of Texas – Austin. In1986, TXO was sold to Marathon Oil, and John went to work for HNG Oil Company (later known as Enron Oil & Gas, then EOG Resources) as a Senior and Project Landman working primarily in the Upper Texas Gulf Coast and South Texas areas until December, 2002. After losing his Enron ESOP Retirement Assets, John resigned his position with EOG to form Mohican, but at EOG management’s request, John agreed to continue working for EOG on a part time (30 hour a week basis) as a contract landman until March,2004. Later, John went to work for RG Exploration, Ltd. in 2004 and 2005 as a partial owner and then left to pursue full time duties as President of Mohican Operating, LLC. John has had over 25 years experience in the GIS Mapping technology and has built petroleum industry operations related software for use by Mohican Operating, LLC. John agreed to work for Fletcher Petroleum, LLC as a contract petroleum landman starting in May, 2018. John has maintained very close relationships with surface and mineral owners during his 37 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Age: 61, Health –Excellent, Married 32 years with three sons.
